AdmissionsLa Escuela and The Language Academy admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all schools. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of their educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.Age of AdmissionEach child admitted to La Escuela or The Language Academy may be placed in grade according to their academic and language acquisition abilities. The following age requirements are our standard placement guidelines: PreschoolThe child who is three years of age on or before December 31st and potty trained is eligible for Preschool. PreKindergartenThe child who is four years of age on or before December 31st and potty trained is eligible for PreKindergarten. KindergartenThe child who is five years of age on or before December 31st is eligible for Kindergarten. First GradeThe child who is six years of age on or before December 31st is eligible for first grade. Prior language experience is preferred. Second GradeThe child who is seven years of age on or before December 31st is eligible for second grade. Must have prior language experience and will be required to take a placement test to determine eligibility. Third GradeThe child who is eight years of age on or before December 31st is eligible for third grade. Must have prior language experience and will be required to take a placement test to determine eligibility. Fourth GradeThe child who is nine years of age on or before December 31st is eligible for fourth grade. Must have prior language experience and will be required to take a placement test to determine eligibility. Fifth GradeThe child who is ten years of age on or before December 31st is eligible for fifth grade. Must have prior language experience and will be required to take a placement test to determine eligibility. Sixth GradeThe child who is eleven years of age on or before December 31st is eligible for fifth grade. Prior language experience is preferred.
